From Blake High School to Hamilton, performer reunites with teachers
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — One of the hit songs from the popular musical Hamilton is “The Room Where it Happened,” and if you ask Deejay Young, for him, the room where it happened would be the Blake High School theater.
From talent shows to school plays, that’s where the 2008 graduate started dreaming and believing he could be on Broadway. This month Young returns to Tampa as an actor in the national touring musical Hamilton.
